It was 0 degC when we touched down once more back in NZ. Frost on the ground but that also meant sun all day. Breakfast at 3am our time but 7am NZ time.
This was a zoom down on to the estuary in Christchurch from a friend's place.
Three good things:
1. A safe trip with happy landings.
2. An afternoon nap.
3. Home tomorrow!
It has such a peaceful feeling. My you've been on the road so long! I wonder if you remember what home looks like. So glad you've landed safely and have all the time you need to get your internal clock adjusted back to NZ time.
What a fabulous journey you have been on and now you are nearly home! Just think sleeping in your own bed! For me that's the best thing when I have been away on holiday! Sorry for my lack of comments I have been struggling keeping up with 365 lately and had to cut back on my time on here. I hope to get some time later today when I will take a look at your trip. What jet setters you both are - you have been away for so long! Lovely image!
@olivetreeann You are right in thinking that what we have at home is to be looked forward to! One just hoped that we both recover from everything we have caught! Viruses, sleep deprivation, and whatever! I'm back home now and want to go to sleep!
@pamknowler Sometimes I look forward to new beds and new comfort but I do feel we spend what we have on the best bed for us at home! And that is what I've found! Now just waiting to climb into that comfort!
wonderful minimalist photo; it does look calming but i shudder at the thought of cold, frost, ice (except on my drink). you have a good rest and hope you recover fast. regards to mr. cool!
That sounds chilly. I don't miss those temps, winter lasts so long here. Glad you are home safe and sound. You must have 1000's of photos to go through. What an amazing trip it sounds like you've had.
