At rest by maggiemae

At rest

It was 0 degC when we touched down once more back in NZ. Frost on the ground but that also meant sun all day. Breakfast at 3am our time but 7am NZ time.
This was a zoom down on to the estuary in Christchurch from a friend's place.
Three good things:
1. A safe trip with happy landings.
2. An afternoon nap.
3. Home tomorrow!
A cute little boat and a lovely shot I am sure you can not wait to be home again in spite it being winter weather !!

Oh, you're in my neck of the woods! Welcome home - and yes, it's a tad chilly out there.
July 2nd, 2016
Wonderful composition ...and how nice for you to be almost home!
July 2nd, 2016
Love the minimalism here, and the texture/tone of the water surrounding the boat.

@barb_b Its actually nice breathing in cool air instead of hot, though, Barb!

It has such a peaceful feeling. My you've been on the road so long! I wonder if you remember what home looks like. So glad you've landed safely and have all the time you need to get your internal clock adjusted back to NZ time.

Welcome back to NZ. Thanks for taking us on your journey. Enjoy home time.
July 3rd, 2016
What a fabulous journey you have been on and now you are nearly home! Just think sleeping in your own bed! For me that's the best thing when I have been away on holiday! Sorry for my lack of comments I have been struggling keeping up with 365 lately and had to cut back on my time on here. I hope to get some time later today when I will take a look at your trip. What jet setters you both are - you have been away for so long! Lovely image!

@olivetreeann You are right in thinking that what we have at home is to be looked forward to! One just hoped that we both recover from everything we have caught! Viruses, sleep deprivation, and whatever! I'm back home now and want to go to sleep!
July 3rd, 2016
@dide I'm so glad that is not hot at nights, Dianne! I think cold is better than hot!
July 3rd, 2016
@tonydebont I'm glad we survived too - one never knows but if one is near to medical intervention it has to be good!
July 3rd, 2016
@pamknowler Sometimes I look forward to new beds and new comfort but I do feel we spend what we have on the best bed for us at home! And that is what I've found! Now just waiting to climb into that comfort!
July 3rd, 2016
@dawnee Well, its calm and not icy, not exactly tropical either, I have to admit but welcome!

That sounds chilly. I don't miss those temps, winter lasts so long here. Glad you are home safe and sound. You must have 1000's of photos to go through. What an amazing trip it sounds like you've had.
