City Chicks by maggiemae

City Chicks

In a suburban shopping centre in Auckland, two families of hens live with their roosters (magnificent) watching over them. They stay around a small group of trees with a built in seat below. There were 7 chickens in one family and three in another.

Three good things:
1. A family gathering at sister in law's bed - the one in a rest home who can't talk or walk. She was trying to get us to do something and we just couldn't work it out in spite of lots of charades. In the end, we did by asking numerous questions!
2. Wine by the glass is no dearer than anywhere else in NZ
3. I can log on to my cellphone for internet coverage - faster than the one provided by the motel which can take up to 5 minutes to post one comment!
Awwwww too cute

@julzmaioro Thats Lopdell House, is it? No we didn't have time to do anything like this - its all John's elderly sisters etc -getting there, taking them around, lunching them, taking them home!

@summerfield ha ha, - an Aussie would probably say it like this - 'chips' are "cheeps' so chicks would be cheeks!

@happysnaps One would think so, Valerie but didn't see any children around them, just an old man eating a sandwich and a red setter dog who wanted to eat the rooster!

How cute they are and a great shot, Maggiemae. Sorry to hear about your sister in law. It can be really hard to understand. 5 minutes is a long time. They must not have very good coverage.
