Book club day at a cafe - difficult to talk with coffee machine thumping and hissing, other customers talking but we managed. I did get a bit stressed with one particular woman always talking over the top of me! I pulled back, opening my mouth and closing but it continued to happen! Felt shaky and my heart was missing a beat all the time Should I pull out?
This photo was in our local Public Gardens and they are really so beautiful! Our Alps to Ocean Bike trail goes through here!
Three good things:
1. I felt that I have had better coffee at places. But it really isn’t that important! ……
2. With my sister telling me she has a type of leukaemia, really nothing trivial is important anymore. Makes it easy to handle anything!
3. I feel so grateful for my own health!
A bully then.....the others will have noticed what she's like, perhaps she dies it with others too not just you but you only notice these things when it concerns you. I expect they all feel a bit cross with her, hang on in there & don't let her drive you out! Bide your time, it's ok to listen.
This is so beautiful maggie, your new growth & spring colours are incredible! Fave.
Health is a great treasure, makes a too talkative friend pale into it's correct place in the worry zone!
@happypat You know Pat if you make a slip or the auto correct does, what you can do is: 1. Select your whole reply and press copy. 2. use the 'delete' function at the side. 3. delete. 4. refresh the page. 5. copy and paste your answer back in and then use the 'edit' function to fix the problem. 6. "Post Comment'
1) What a beautiful vantage point you chose for this. 2) Hope your sister responds well to whatever therapy she has. 3) Hope the coffee and conversation both improve. 4) Glad you are healthy and see the beauty around you
This is really beautiful! Great processing! I hope all goes well for your sister. Leukaemia is scary but I do know someone who was treated and has survived it. Hugs from PA!
What a gorgeous scene. Love those colours. Fav.
Sorry to hear about your sister. My brother in law is dealing with that currently. It does make us appreciate our own good health. I agree that cafes are so noisy and maybe that is why this talkative woman was interrupting you?? Otherwise you could ask her if she has a hearing problem.
over the years i have found out that most people who are loud are 98% of the time deaf and could not hear themselves. or simply just enjoy hearing their own voices. i have learned to stay away from them, unless they become directly offensive, then they might as well regret they had mouths. in any case, i had thought at first glance that this was your garden and i was looking out for the caravan. very nice shot and the garden is definitely engaging.
@jennywren Thanks for all your wonderful comments, Jen on my posts! When I see someone creeping along with rounded shoulders, I put mine back, my head up and thank her silently for reminding me! Perspective!
@maggiemae pleased to be able to get to viewing and commenting on your shots. Just sorry that am so behind with them. Re the rounded shoulders, funnily enough when I am bowling I notice people's shoulders when walking up the rink with me and it does give me a reminder too to straighten up!
Ooh dear Maggiemae -- there is always one who enjoys the sound of her own voice and has no manners to listen to others as well !! Never mind her ,but it does make things rather unpleasant -- Keep going and don't let her win ! Sorry about your sister - hope things will work out for her -- there is so many new treatments around .
On a more cheerful note -- this is a beautiful capture and edit -- such delightful grighr spring colours and such a dreamy finish to the image -- fav
A beautiful cycle path indeed. What glorious colours. I'm sorry to hear about your sister. Our health is so important, and often overlooked until we or someone close to us has issues with theirs.
Oh MaggieMae. I am so sorry to hear about your sister. It does put things into a different perspective though.
Beautiful photo of your bike trail with all the spring colors.
I've been thinking about you @maggiemae since reading this the other day. Both my husband and my sister have different types leukaemia, my sister has been having treatment for about 8 years. it's chemo in tablet form that she takes every day and it manages the condition rather than cures it so she can lead a normal life. My husband isn't on treatment yet, he's closely monitored and they'll step in at the first sign of any problem. There are so many advances in treatment, the consultant told us that if you're going to get cancer, this is one of the best to get! Hope you're all getting the support and information you need.
This is so beautiful maggie, your new growth & spring colours are incredible! Fave.

Lovely pov and processing.
So sorry about your sister's illness. You must be very worried. Hope all goes well with her treatment.
Thank you Ann! The azaleas are out now and make huge colour in gardens. Hopeful comments from other friends on 365 here!
