Little Children by maggiemae

Little Children

I needed another focus. These dandelion seeds fell in a pattern that was not under my control.
It could be an extended family - those who wanted to find new focus, those who just wanted to go back into the family…. and those who just wanted to dance!

Three good things:
1. The most wonderful support from my friends on 365 - i thought about all that you wrote and how it gave me another dimension in my grief!
2. I wanted a dandelion but nowhere but the rubbish dump was one to be found! Maybe I'll have a picnic in our rubbish dump and play wonderful free thinking music!
3. I remembered the previous 5 days to write up my diary!
stunning shot, a fav.

simple and beautiful. fav

This is simple but tells a story, seeds aren't meant to stick to the dandelion head. They have to fall for another dandelion to grow :-) It is a lovely image.

A lovely image, Maggie.
And I agree with your words " Life is a bit like a dandelion seed!"

How on earth do you manage to get the right colour background to show every detail of these seed heads? You have some fabulous ideas! Very moving considering your circumstances at the moment too......the soul & spirit flying free!
December 20th, 2016
@happypat like your words - soul and spirit flying free! I actually never thought of it like that but yours is better than 'children'! The black background happens if you increase the contrast but I did photograph it on a black background firstly.

Love this shot and yes, fitting too, as an expression of the spirit flying free to find home.

Such a poignant connotation Maggie , the little seed-heads floating away from the dandelion in the dark vast abysses of space and time -- take care xx

Your picture of the dandelion, which btw is fantastic with the seeds flying away from home so to speak to find a new place, a new start. it reminds me of when one after the other child, three of us left home within a few years in between, to find and make a better. we all immigrated to the US.
Think positive thoughts. ours are with you.
