Christmas day and we had booked a table at a local hotel which was actually open on the day. The food was tops - ham, lamb, lots of Oamaru new potatoes. Pudding - ice-cream and some caramel chocolates ( put 4 in my serviette to take home) and nicely wrapped small pieces of Christmas cake - 4 got put into my handbag! Aren’t we naughty?
In the Christmas cracker was presents - John got this which was supposed to be for tying long hair back but this is what he really wanted to do…..!
Three good things;
1. Skype with Japanese family - we toasted each other using just the screen but it worked!
2. My rose photo in the regional paper competition won a prize - chocolate! It was good seeing my name in print!
3. Being tired and able to slip off to bed when I wanted!
A very happy Christmas to you & John, glad you had a good day & eating out was a success! You've had a difficult few weeks so good you can sit back & relax! Lots of goodies stashed away, you're like a little squirrel filling your cupboards! I like eating out!!
@aikimomm Well it was more giving than enjoying the company, Phoebe - seemed to be all tourists or those from IHC who were probably given the seats for the Christmas Table here. I spoke to both types and hoped it improved their day!
