Morning sail

The top of the South Island in New Zealand has always had the most sunshine! We hooked into this by staying here in our caravan for at least 4 days! I went down fairly early ( not sunrise stuff) and tried to catch the sparkling water in the sea!

Three good things:
1. A wonderful day of lots of walking but also good coffee in a cafe watching what we all know as “The Passing Parade”!
2. This camp is stuffed full! But what is good that everybody obeys the rules or they are OUT! No noise past 10.30pm! There was a party going on - singing and shrieking just by us and at 10.30pm, a car arrived, some serious talking and complete silence thereafter!
3. We couldn’t find our tin opener and nobody around could help!!…… John had to resort to his “Leatherman” to gouge a way into the tin!
Love the sparkly water! Such a gorgeous place to be ...lucky you! fav

@maggiemae I would never have guessed. Are they a common item in NZ ?? Can't recall seeing them here.

sparkling water! how beautiful! i could never tire of looking at something this beautiful. you captured it so well. isn't it like looking at a million diamonds?
February 5th, 2017
@tonydebont No they are not common at all, Tony. They are tinned and will last a while but not cheap!

@summerfield The light has to be in front to capture these diamonds, I've found but struggle with sunspots as well!
