Summer rose by maggiemae

Summer rose

Having nothing special to photograph, I used flowers to save me. A nice rose still about to bloom against our newly mowed lawn. I just added a water texture.

Three good things;
1. Cooked a roast pork with wonderful crackle - but John calls it ‘pig skin’ and won’t eat it.
2. Made apple sauce from the odd apples picked at our last camping place. Together with lemon and a cinnamon stick, it was just right.
3. The cat is not eating properly - do I worry or do I let nature take its course…. 15 years old! Left the decision to J - his knee is the best comfort zone for her.
Love the way the rose leaps out of the photo. So pretty.

A beautiful picture with great color and processing. Today I am following your lead and doing the same. Pork and applesauce sounds deilcious especially with free apples . I'll bet the cat bounces back.

A friend's dog has decided the same as your cat- it's always so hard when the time comes to say good-bye. A lovely rose floating in a sea of green.

Nice to know that you too use flowers as a fall-back position. Still a great capture.
