No photo ops arrived but good to read all the comments on my attempted ‘ugly’ photo!
Three good things:
1. I got this photo of our pussikins drinking cat milk which is probably not what she should have - too much protein being in kidney failure… but its the only thing she will try. I’m wondering how much she can take before she ‘gently slides away’ as J puts it. He will be so upset! And of course, me!
2. Working out a USA/Canada visit for later in the year. Our winter, their summer! All due to Indian Motorbikes!
3. Got the caravan carpets cleaned.
Poor kitty. I wouldn't worry too much about the protein as at least she is drinking the milk. I feel for you.
On the other hand how thrilling that you plan to make your way to our part of the world! Are you taking a tour on the Indians? Would love to meet up with you if it's possible.....as long as you're OK with being seen with a Harley guy (but Indian lover!). Keep us advised.
One of my very favorite movies is "Tte World's Fastest Indian" with Anthony Hopkins. They are incredible motorbikes. Your pussikens is at least seeking a little nourishment, that may be a good sign.
@lynnz Amazingly enough, Lynn - she doesn't appear to be - sleeps a lot and then sits on our knees. When I attempt to give her some food, she runs away!
Sorry about Kitty -- its so upsetting when you can not do anything more for them ! -- at least she is having liquid and some nourishment and in good hands ! Sounds interesting for you , planning your next trip !
This is a beautiful photo of a beloved family member who happens to have fur and walk on 4 legs. And I LOVE how you always make note of 3 good things to your photos. It shows your positive attitude. As far as your Pussikins, she knows she's loved!
@thendrix58 It is so sad, Terry, she won't eat or now, drink but she purrs when we stroke her! It must be like being at a family members passing away but all being there and the feeling of support!
@maggiemae Is she old, Maggie? If she is (and I admit this conversation makes my eyes water cuz we are a multiple pet family), but if she's still purring but not wanting food or want water, I'd just cuddle up with her as much as I could. (I gave up cursing for Lent--I've only said 5 bad words in the last 2 days--but DARN IT!) These situations are so hard. Being an animal loving family, we will say a quick prayer for her! Hugging you and your sweet sweetie from Louisiana!!!!
@thendrix58 Thank you Terry - you above all, give me the smiles in life! Our cat is 15 years old so we do need to know this is expected. She has been so much part of our life (as all pets do). Tonight I let her stand on the coffee table (not normally allowed) where I gave her a brush - she loves that! Every morning now, I wait for John who gets up at sparrows fart - when ever they want to do this, to tell me - she hasn't made it through the night! But no, she keeps on keeping on!
So sad to hear about your lovely cat Maggie. My old black cat Marlon had the same thing and it is so hard to watch them fade away. As long as she is not suffering! Big hug xx
So sorry to hear about your precious fur baby. I had a cat that went into kidney failure. He was around 18 years old when he left us. I remember that he only wanted what the vets advised not to give but I gave it anyway. My thoughts are with you and John. Enjoy every cuddle and purr that is being offered.
Poor kitty. If you are visiting Vikki in Toronto, you will have to let me know- maybe we could arrange a day when all converge at Niagara Falls- or possibly I could get to Toronto somehow. I have to meet my long distance, very distant Hamilton "cousin"!

i hope kitty 'slides' away without much pain.
