Sunday picnic by maggiemae

Sunday picnic

I love pictures like this - what happens when you just happen to be there! These three guys were working their way up the river as we arrived. How much to fish in a river in Scotland?

Decided to picnic and researched this River Crossing called Robbs. But on driving down this river road found nothing to be entranced with. Put the GPS into another river crossing area and we found it, but the trail alongside was rough, narrow and flooded in parts. I wanted to back out but hubby being a man, went onwards!

Three good things;
1. Our car alarms were screeching but we got through safely to an open area that seemed neglected. Picnic was egg sandwiches, mashed pea and mint sandwiches …plus… Roaring Meg Reisling! Life is good!
2. Treasured this day - John trimmed a huge bush, I pulled out at least 4 weeds, it was hot but not too hot. Plus a picnic!
3. Cat is still fine - not eaten anything. 9 days now!
beautiful shot, its pleasant to imagine how their day went!

Don't know about you, but the sound of running water like this always relaxes me. These guys looks like they're going to have a great day fishing.

Fabulous woodland "street" scene. Sounds like a wonderful day in spite of the screeching alarms. Thinking about the cat lots.

@grammyn Thanks Katy - I have to remain calm and let nature take its course. Woodland street is a great name for this!
