Turbulence by maggiemae

Turbulence

Attempting a Van Gogh style photo,(hence turbulence) I got into difficulties with several apps where I could’t save the picture. However after a lot of choices, I have gone about as far as I can go….. !
Three Good things:
1. These were sunflowers from our garden.
2. Did the fancy marmalade on toast this morning - lemony and sharp.
3. Booked a train trip through the great USA from LA to Chicago.
I can see Yolanda dancing!

@happypat No blue hair here, Pat! But the flowers could be dancing!

Certainly in the style of Van Gogh , and the turbulence is very evident ! Fav

It definitely works! It looks exactly like Van Gogh. Thinking about that marmalade makes my mouth water and I'm so excited to think you will be in our country again soon!

@grammyn I was trying to replicate his 'The Starry Night',' Katy - check it out - its wonderful! But far to difficult for a photo!
April 8th, 2017
Ooh very arty! It reminds me of that marbling painted effect we used to do at school. Lovely!
April 8th, 2017
I like the homage to Van Gogh and think this came out really well.
April 8th, 2017
@taffy It was, as I said to Katy, supposed to be like his "The Starry Sky" but he did do a couple of sunflower ones too. But in a vase.

I have no idea how you've achieved this, but I love it!

Looks like you found that 'good' ap.
April 9th, 2017
@maggiemae Im impressed you did so well without the use of paint!
April 9th, 2017
@grammyn It involved a lot of 'clone' then a bit of twisty stuff from "Ribbett' then 'be funky' finishing, Katy!

Super colours and processing.
April 9th, 2017
This makes me laugh, the sunflowers are getting a bit topsy turvy.
April 9th, 2017
@yaorenliu "Topsy Turvy' could be renamed as 'Tipsy Swervy" Van Gogh's paintings had a mathematical influence that was applied to colour as well as form.
April 9th, 2017
Very creative and energetic swirls of color and pattern.
April 9th, 2017
@congaree Thanks John - I think Van Gogh was a master of swirls!
