It was hot here today and that was very welcome! There were about 20 gliders all lined up to do these races around huge mountainous territories and I found once they were all dropped at high altitudes by the tow plane, they disappeared from sight. It would be up to 4 hours to where we would see them again. So we put our outside chairs and cushions in the locker and moved on.
This was when they were all lined up waiting for the tow planes (4) to take them away up there into the blue sky!
Three good things;
1. The other side of Lake Aivemore was actually cluttered with caravans so we kept going. Fisherman’s Bend is where we found a neat spot right by the water with no one around.
2. Still had some battery in my computer but had to be very careful.
3. Actually got TV in this remote place and John loved watching live League games!
They must look amazing gliding up in that sky without any sound. Quite spooky really. The white wings with that massive wingspan must look like great birds circling. Grand to move on when you feel like it!
