This was my take of the Super Moon - a blue moon and a blood moon. No blood spilt here - just some added bokeh.
Three good things:
1. Back in Auckland - almost home!
2. So hot here that the shops have run out of fans... but we went to the Warehouse which had just had a new shipment in. Could buy one for SIL who is in a care home which is so hot.
3. Preparing for rough trip home in the plane - remnants of a cyclone has hit NZ! I don't care!

what a super capture. i didn't care for the moon this time as we had snow to deal with since last night. which makes me feel glad that i didn't have to miss it by sleeping. snow was such a good excuse.
You saw more moon than we saw down here in Sth Auckland/Nth Waikato... I managed to get a fan last week looks ugly but spreads the cool air so worth while..
Lucky you to even see the super moon let alone capture it this well. All clouds, wind and rain down here - a big disappointment for many of us I'm sure. Welcome home. I hope your last flight is not too bouncy in this stormy weather.

@kiwichick The incoming storm has plummeted temperatures around the regions by 17degrees! The trip home still has to be experienced. Various flights have been delayed.
@kiwinanna It was bouncy coming over from San Fransisco, Liana! But this storm might create more than a bounce! Better not drink too much red wine and nibble the delicious cheeses!
Nice capture. Couldn't see it for the clouds and fog where I am. Glad you are home safe. I hope the flooding and gales abate quickly and you don't have any damage.
Ah, almost welcome home then! The Blood Moon wasn't visible in the UK but we did get the supermoon. I like the clouds around this. Hope your last flight home isn't too bad!
