Whisky Tasting

John being given a taste of the "Spirit of Munro' 18 year old, single malt whisky that was bottled for release at the Burt Munro Challenge this Friday. The barrel there has been signed by various distillers around the land and John's signature is added. It then is transported by a group of Indian motorcycle riders to Invercargill.

Three good things;
1. We were invited for 'breakfast' here and turned up hungry. Found they meant breakfast whisky! Wow!
2. Packed up and hit the road having a real breakfast in the car.
3. Paracetamol.
Nice capture and looks like a fun way to spend the afternoon

@brennieb Its an amazing taste, Brennie,- golden malty with floral overtones and a finish of 'octane' ( so the man says - supposed to be a flavour without tasting like petrol)

A fabulous shot of John as he gets his morning "meal"

@grammyn Well it might be good for you in some ways, Katy! But perhaps not a regular choice for breakfast!

Interesting shot and event. Not so sure I could drink whisky for breakfast though. I have to have my two cups of tea.

@tonydebont You obviously know the stages of making good whisky! We appreciated the result!

@salza @onewing Frankly I would have agreed with you! But these whiskies have notes of honey, heather, lavender and a warm malt!

I love your narrative - Indian motorcycle riders? Brilliant! Whisky is wonderful stuff and you have caught the tasting action just perfectly here.

@casablanca I didn't know there was a pipette used in this, -- from my secondary school chemistry days... but no whisky then!

Great capture of a moment in time. We did a tasting breakfast when we were in Kentucky a number of years ago. Seems tasting stuff like that is best done at breakfast time. At least we did get breakfast :)

Interesting shot, Maggie. I think I prefer a cup of tea for breakfast...
