This place ihas a feeling of peacefulness and good light!
I went in search of birds and their habitat but first things came first.
Clambered out of the van in my nightdress and dressing gown to get this photo early in the morning.
Three good things:
1. Drove back to the nearest town to check on the television problems. Solved in someways.
2. Stalked a few birds and they reacted in expected ways to protect their nests- told me they were wounded and sick. One wing up and one wing down, and squawking! One in particular was so good at limping, he fell over!
3. Easter is coming and so is an awful lot of people here! Will be out before that!
Awesome imagery here - and I now have a vision of you in your night attire - the things we do! The light is fantastic. Well worth getting out of bed early for.
Great early morning capture. I have walked that beach so many times in the early morning. It's a magical place. You are so right about the feeling of peacefulness. There have always been lots of birds living in that area. Given the meaning of Ruakaka ( rua meaning "nest" or "two" and kākā a native bird) it should be a great place to seek out birds and their homes :)
So glad younare getting so many faves for this superb shot! I know you have such amazing scenery I'm NZ but it takes a clever person to capture it to full glory & you are the master!
