Down the Passage by maggiemae

Down the Passage

I’m so full of admiration at the skill and creativity from other 365 friends! They really are so good.
Lacking an inspiration, I did think about this sort of photo when your subject is down at the end - like a tunnel - or in this case a dark hallway.
This is my kitchen in the afternoon sun. Looking at my settings, I think my aperture could be better.
Could be good on the Black.

Three good things:
1. Making a travelogue using a new app called “Polarsteps” It seems to be OK but when I get to the end, what does it do then?
2. One sleep to go until we get our new TV!
3. Sat in the sun for my designated period of Vitamin D exposure!
I know exactly what you mean, I constantly lack inspiration. This picture really works, the lighting is good. Onwards and upwards!

Just like one of the Old Masters Paintings (senior moment -- I can not remember his name !!) I like this very much , the intrigue create as you are drawn along the dark passage way towards the light ! fav

@beryl Thank you Beryl. The aim was to get the subject in good focus!

@phil_howcroft Took a few minutes work with trying to get the end in complete focus, Phil! I'm surprised at the f2.8!

Nice, moody photo.
June 7th, 2018
@maggiemae the f2.8 would be needed because of available light , it is surprising that you can eek out quite a bit of depth of field at f2.8 :)

I'd say you did a good job here. Makes for an interesting shot.

It is more than good on the black....it is awesome!
June 8th, 2018
Yep, these are often challenging to get the right balance between the light and the dark.

I like the light and leading line in this shot...well done. Indeed...365ers are a clever group of photographers.

I love it, you say you lack creativity at the moment, but I think this is very creative. It does look rather nice on black too.
June 8th, 2018
On black, its impressive, l think the colours of the walls come at you, like it
June 8th, 2018
@joannakate I have to admit, Joanna that I played with the "levels'! Ended up a wee bit more colourful!

@onewing Actually 'creativity' is easy when you are travelling and have a new photo every day! When you are in the same place - as most 365'ers are, then creativity is a challenge!

The passageway looks very cool but your warm kitchen is inviting me to step through into the sunlight.
