I put out sugar water for the birds having heard a Tui arrive in our property. Tui didn’t front up but wax-eyes did and below were these tiny ‘star of bethlehem’ flowers. I have photographed them before but now cut them quite short and put them in a cute little Japanese thimble like vase - probably used for tiny shots of strong liquor!
Three good things;
1. Ignored my Fitbit’s efforts to make me ’stroll’, step, whatever’ My fitbit has to be recharged by putting into an electrical plug! I don’t!
2. My book kept me reading and reading - the sign of a good author!
3. Whats this about crumpets not having enough CO2 to be made in England! We have lots!
@dide We are in the town area and in the 7 years at this property, never seen a tui! When we lived in the country a bit further out, we saw dozens. I do like their song!
I love the soft pastel background and the fabulous detail in this photo composition is gorgeous and would make a wonderful piece of art to hang on someone’s wall! I think my fit bit has died and I am not sure how I feel about that!
Beautifully arranged maggie! That vase is perfect, I think the whole thing is quite small. Hope you get some visiting Tui birds! We have no crumpets but luckily it's far too hot to eat crumpets, we are having a massive heat wave with temps in the 30degC
