I put the vase of daffodils on the sunny window sill and tried to catch the shadows.
Three good things:
1. Close up of a particularly beautifully frilly daff worked out for me!
2. Freezing cold wind out there but so warm inside with a fire going.
3. Our kitchen fix is getting more and more expensive but our Insurance Company is coming to the party!
Ooh you are having a kitchen make over? Your house gets lots of light so I can see how these Spring daffodils are catching all this light! I bet your sky is very blue even though it's cold. Lovely!
@happypat No - the boiling tap we have on the centre bench was leaking for all the time we were away and the cupboards have all but rotted! Its costing the earth to fix.. gone into the floor so can't replace one tile so have to replace all the floor tiles!
Love the light in this! We have friends who have had to move to a hotel while their home is repaired after a lot of damage by a leak that wasn’t noticed till it was too late. What a mess. Hope your repairs go well.
@maggiemae Oh heck, what a disaster for you and such an inconvenience with the kitchen messed up. A couple of years back we returned from holiday to find that there'd been a massive rain-storm, one of the sky-light seals had gone and the torrent of water had got under a whole bunch of new paint-work. Oh joy, oh happiness.
Gorgeous light through these daffodils which must be brightening your spring days. I've been thinking about getting ready to plant mine for spring here.
