The great river of the south, the Clutha, is the highest level since 1999. There is flooding all the way down to the sea!
We crossed this safely and our first camp was further west beside a farm field on one side and a golf course on the other.
Three Good Things:
1. 6 days later, we are home and I am able to download all photos.
2. No further rain in this area.
3. Safe and sound in our comfortable motorhome!
Ooh welcome back, we have missed you! You are so regular with your posting it seemed weird not to see you’re pop up! This is a very fine bridge indeed, lots of ironwork & a magnificent river in full flow underneath! An area I don’t know at all I must have a google! Hope it fines up for you!
So glad you are safe and sound. This river looks very threatening and I could only imagine if you were not on Highground how dangerous it would’ve been for you.
this is a wonderful image
