A day of rain probably welcomed here in this dry spot. We spent the day lactose free - that means the milk went bad!
Three good things:
1. Got so much fruit - apricots and nectarines that we had to keep eating them.
2. I finished my book (I'm so sad) but do have another this time based in Cornwall
3. Watched a lot of gliding - the plane and the glider take off right above our heads!
It looks such a heavy sky Maggie ! but the land looks parched an in need of some rain ! - nothing like been cosy and safe in your van , oops , sorry appartment on wheels :)
beautiful clouds descending to the valley. Sorry about the forced lactose free day but the fruit sounds like it might have made up for it. Great to have the perfect vantage point from Captain Pugwash for the glider viewing
@grammyn You remembered the name! The captain has been through some adventures on this trip, one being stuck on a rough track that had a dip in it. Our long vehicle grounded on the ridge but as I sat with my head in my hands while John revved the spinning wheels, he eventually went forward and we were away. A very bumpy road meant that when I opened a locker I just about got knocked out by a flying tin of fruit!
The clouds and the colors make a great ambiance.
#2 Can you recommend that Cornwall book? Spent a lovely holiday there long ago.
