Thought

We sat at the window of a favourite cafe and I tested the iPhone for passers-by! This was one of several and had a thought provoking expression. He had just bought a book - next door and was eyed the chemists on the other side of us.
Three good things
1. I just can’t stand brussel sprouts and John just loves them - he can be satisfied while I am on my diet!
2. They weighed me at the medical centre before the flu shots. A bit of a shock but I did have my new boots on.
3. Working my way through tax and Company data. Gives me a headache but good to get it done!
I like the feel of this, the softness in appearance

Fabulous shot, your phone has an excellent camera. I too hate Brussel Sprouts and hubby loves them! The only way I eat them is when each leaf is taken off individually, put them in a pot with some butter and chicken stock. When they are almost done, mix them into mashed potatoes ;-)

@ludwigsdiana They are really very good for us so I have to try something. Might try your recipe!

Oh dear, I rather like brussels sprouts, sliced thinly and cooked briefly in butter. I like your photo BTW.

@golftragic You must be so healthy - all the brussels sprouts - no wonder, I am weak and lethargic!
May 9th, 2019
@maggiemae Nah, not lots. Les won't eat 'em.
May 9th, 2019
@golftragic Les must be my friend!
May 9th, 2019
@maggiemae Sounds likely! I'll eat brussel sprounts with your other half.

I love people watching.

@onewing I think us - people who think beyond the usual, see something in each passerby! You imagine their life... and perhaps feel gratitude.

brilliant capture, wow

Great candid shot.

@ninaganci
thanks for your kind word, Nina! But this is just holding the iPhone up and clicking! Still its good to see what can eventuate!

I like this, he is miles away thinking. And I am reading the signboard behind too........lime, mint and mojito tea sounds amazing!
May 9th, 2019
Very evocative shot. Perhaps he has had second thoughts about buying the book.
May 9th, 2019
A very thoughtful expression.
May 9th, 2019
He certainly seems very pre-occupied. Good observation and catch.

I enjoy people watching and this is a great people watching photo.

I’m with John, I love Brussels Sprouts! Would love to know what book is in that paper bag....your books are so very expensive in NZ they must surely be a treat to buy! All paper work is better once you get started!

Great street shot. I'd love to know what he was thinking. I'm with you on the Brussels Sprouts issue - simply hate them!
May 9th, 2019
@casablanca You have very keen eyes! I knew it was on the board but I couldn't read it!
May 9th, 2019
@happypat You are right - I've been putting it off for months! Everything balanced so that was good!
May 9th, 2019
I'm sorry to say that I would be more interested in those meringues, fresh cream and berries on offer than your brussel sprouts Maggiemae.
May 9th, 2019
@helenhall Oh they had far more delectables than meringue in that cafe! I'll wait till I'm so thin, I have no shadow, before I eat one though!

I love Brussels sprouts.. but found out they contain a lot of sodium compared to asparagus.. cooked in the pan with butter... lots of butter... so spears for me... hope you are well...
May 10th, 2019
@cheribug Both those veggies don't have as much sodium as cabbage or cucumber, Cheryl! And not as much as salted peanuts!!!
May 10th, 2019
@maggiemae shhhhhh.. I live in The south and peanuts boiled in salt water are a staple.. I like all green veggies..only reason I know that BS have 20 mg sodium compared to asparagus at 0 mg is because I googled it for a friend. I don’t stress over sodium. Probably should though.
May 10th, 2019
@cheribug Its the butter that contains sodium, not the BS! only 2mg/100gms! I'd like to try the peanuts done like that!

Kinda like a painting… :-)
