A softened image of my sweet man who is such a good patient. Keeping his feet up. And being very grateful for what I do.
Three Good things:
1. Stitches out in 6 days. The photos he took early on look terrible. But will be good to see the healing then.
2. We both have really good books so its reading in the sun today!
3. I tried a sous vide dinner - took ages because I forgot how the machine worked. A good result - I think!
@gijsje You put fresh food in a plastic pouch, seal it then dip it into a vessel filled with water. It takes hours but good to plan ahead and the flavour is Number One!
@louannwarren Thank you Lou Ann - he was woken every 1/2 hour to get his blood pressure taken so not much sleep! I get plenty of rest but must keep up the exercise or my muscles will fade away!
How great to have him home & recovering. Looks so cosy there....Enjoy the sunshine together.& reading your books. Being together is the special ingredient Thinking of you both.....
So good for you both that John is home ! - The Lord of the Manor sitteth on his throne - so glad to see he has his feet up ! It looks nice and cosy there by the fire !
@busylady the cause was a ladder collapse resulting in him getting the skin ripped off his shin and a bit further around from the ladder steel steps. Sounds awful and it was awful to look at! He lost over a litre of blood but the ambulance & hospital took charge and he recovered in a week with over 40 stitches!
Oh bless him, a good patient that is quite rare in a man....a speedy recovery to John! He looks very cosy & it is book reading weather so that does help!
@happypat We have quickly accepted the fact that our travel plans have been dashed but there will be another time. Its the insurance battle we have to take on next!
Question: what is a sous vide dinner?
Glad things are working out
