Thalia and Yolanda by maggiemae

Thalia and Yolanda

* Thalia is the opposite of Melpomene. She is the protector of comedy, the sciences (including geometry, architecture, and agriculture,) and bucolic poetry. She typically holds a comedic theatrical mask in her depictions.
A different look for Thalia - she doesn’t have clothes that in some particular body area, drop down to her waist!
Yolanda knows comedy like the back of her hand. She even tried to change the colour of her hair! But she loved what Thalia came out with! She wanted to know Thalia better!
Three Good Things:
1. Bought a new rose to replace a dead one - I only choose tea roses. This one is orange!
2. Sitting in the afternoon sun on a comfy couch reading a great book!
3. Only one more Muse to go….. phew!

Bit annoyed that the date isn't the 25th as I actually composed it on the 25th. Now I know it was Yolanda - her photo was on the 23rd and that's what was recognised.
I've been away a few days but it looks like Yolanda has artistically made her way around several muses- it's been a fun series!

@happypat I do believe that the lady bride died - according to the second line. So new husband won't get to have any fun now!

Oh the adventures of Yolanda. Excellent, love it. The Perfume Delight rose that I purchased is a Tea Rose.

@grannysue I should have looked for perfumed roses, Linda - forgot that is another of the beauties of roses!

Love it, your poem reminded me of a time when we lived in the UK. We had been away from home for a few weeks and the apples on one of our trees had fallen on the ground. Some had begun to ferment and we saw a rather legless blackbird sitting in the garden for hours. He had been eating the apples and I think he was rather worse for wear. He eventually flew off again when he had sobered up and had a bit of a nap.

Loving your latest Yolanda adventures. Bonus: now I know why one of the girls at my school was named Thalia.

@onewing That happens to our Native Pigeons. They overdo on some sort of berries and sometimes fall off the branch!

@maggiemae I can feel a limerick coming on from those sentences.
