Only two other people on this beautiful beach. The sea was too far away to be attractive.
To be thankful for:
A good book beside the huge pool and watching other people with their children. The men were interacting with their own children and all had this beatific smile on their faces.
@onewing Certainly not expected here in Port Douglas, Babs! Maybe all the resorts have their own pool and the 'stingers' aren't something you risk in the sea!
It looks lovely....empty too which is even better! I’m not really a beach person & Harry hates beaches but it does look beautiful....the trees edge it nicely! Good for the dad’s doing their bit, hope they are giving the mummies a rest for me time!
@happypat I was amused at one Dad who told his 3 year old son who had picked up his socks, 'Do not throw those in the pool"! The son immediately did. Dad took him by the hand and said we are going to have a talk. Now when Dad says no, he means no. Son then burst into tears. Dad came back followed quickly by son who then smacked his Dad on the rump! The holiday is called getting to know your children!
@gamelee Adults only is what we look for and there are more around nowadays! I thought it wasn't school holidays but forgot about the toddler tantrums!
