Forget-me-not

I love this time when the forget.me.nots start to grow and flower! They occupy a large area if they are allowed to stay. Behind this small clump, are daffodils at odd stages of nodding. An odd nod if you will!
Thankful for:
Early frost leads to sun all day!
This is beautiful. Fabulous colours!

They are great signs of spring. We missed seeing ours this year as we came up here too late. They always look so fragile after the winter.

Definitely signs of Spring then Maggie....such an old fashioned flower that is still popular...it has a great name too....we none of us want to be forgotten!

I love the blue tones of this little flower. It's always so cheery. Nice shot!

@grammyn the iPhone with its portrait setting is rather easy for this shallow DOF, Katy!

@happypat This is what I read: "Forget-me-nots represent true love and giving someone this flower means you truly love and respect this person. It is a testament to your relationships and promises the other person that you will never forget them in your thoughts. Fidelity. Forget me nots are a symbol of fidelity and being truthful to someone you love ..." Rather nice, I thought, Pat!

I like forget-me-nots but they do get a bit outta hand if you blink. Our daffies aren't out yet except the tiny little ones.

@golftragic Good thing, flowers don't get the coronavirus! You can rely on nature!

A lovely image. A good frost generally brings a nice sunny day - we had a cracker today.

@maggiemae Thank goodness for that MM. I'm enjoying growing vegies and hanging out for the warmer weather so I can get really stuck in. I've just ordered a proper greenhouse which should be installed in October so watch this space.

@golftragic You will appreciate your greenhouse - growing seeds for a start but also tomatoes and peppers!
August 17th, 2020
@maggiemae Oh yes, and pak choi, lettuce, spinach, strawberries etc, etc. I've been experimenting with growing from seeds inside our north-facing windows/sliding glass doors. Lettuce was a flop, but the beetroot's doing well. Have also got a couple of chilli plants well on the way, about 15 cm high now. I cut the bottom off a 4 litre plastic bottle and used it to hothouse the chillis everyone said I couldn't grow. I have some plants that have managed outside but will thrive in a greenhouse - curry leaf plant, galangal, finger lime, lemon grass etc.

@golftragic It sounds like you are going to have the greatest kitchen dishes! Fresh is so much better!

@maggiemae Absolutely!
