After we had picked up two bottles of full milk from the Dairy Farm just down the road, we returned home via another country road. I said to John, we are having a Country Drive! Then saw this scene. This must be an old stables made of Oamaru stone but still looks weatherproof.
Thankful for:
I see older women going round with hunched backs and automatically straighten up! Its a real trigger!
A lovely old building. Yes - posture is so important. My mum, at 96 is still pretty straight, but has the shrinks terribly. She was 5'10" but is now less than 5'6"....
Funny you should write about straight backs as I’ve just written how straight my friend Eileen stands...you are so right...I do try too when I catch sight of myself in a shop window!
@maggiemae And South Australia, there's lovely stone there. We have bluestone here (a type of basalt). Some early settlers used it but it would be far too expensive to use in houses now. Damned cold too.
Still drinking milk is probably one of the reasons why you don’t have to worry about your back being hunched over so much.
Good to remember to stand tall.
