Royal Worcester Porcelain... egg coddlers. They look so beautiful (hand painted) and handle this way of booking like no other! Inside these are, cheese, leeks, smoked sausage, and one egg of course.
It takes about 15 minutes to cook in simmering water but it is worth waiting for!

Love your little egg coddlers , and yours are in use -- I have got my grandmother's egg coddler - but I never use it but have it as an ornament with a matching little bowl on my window ledge ! makes a nice receptacle to store and hide useless bits and pieces !!
I would love to try coddled eggs, cooking them & eating them. Yours just glow with colour. I will perhaps look out for some on my travels maggie. We love eggs in any form!
@happypat For some reason the eggs taste twice as nice done like this, Pat! Slow cooking. You can add bacon bits, mushroom, onion as well as cheese and tomato.
