Working our way back home via several lakes, this one was Pukaki which sometimes had a good viewing point of Mt Cook, our highest mountain. Not to be this morning but the lake was calm and reflections offered a photographic spot.

Weather was warm, roads were not busy, we had a lunch stop seeing an outside picnic table free. Cheese, salmon and tomatoes. all local made a good lunch!
This is that very cold lake I think. We drove along that road after going to that campsite at the base of Mount Cook. This is a stunning photo, so many amazing layers! Fave.
