Picnic spot
with a heritage connection! Built around 1874, it was a waterwheel for a flour mill. Beautifully restored, it now has a place not far from our home.
Thankful for;
Taking a friend who has been recovering from a serious stroke to bookclub about 3/4hour away.

It's now nearly summer in 2024 here. I always like being on the right side of summer... Live in the South Island of New Zealand...

So glad it has been restored. Is it in working condition or is it there as a comemoration of its past? Whatever it is it is beautiful wheel and lies in a lovely corner.

Nice crisp shot of it! It looks a little out of place with no water around it.
How nice of you to take your friend with you. I’m certain she enjoyed it and appreciated it.

I don't think it goes round, Dione but there is a history about it under that little building.
