If you thought food played a big part in my life, you would be right! We had planned to have takeaway tonight and phoned in our order. Then we (he) found the car wouldn't start! It's a late model Mercedes!
We asked our great neighbours if we could be driven just a wee way up the road to the outer skirts of our town where this small but very popular shop is.

It all happened. Onion sausage, battered mussels, battered scallop, orange roughy fish and some nice crunchy chips!
This looks and sounds absolutely delicious and definitely worth going to all that trouble for. What a blessing to have such good neighbors, although I am certain you would return the favor if ever asked!
We also decided to have takeaway; fortunately our car did start ;-)

@happypat I think John did something to the electrics, Pat - he won't do that again. In the past we have had another vehicle to help start.. This time we will have to call the AA.
