cliffside picnic? by maggiemae

cliffside picnic?

I'm in Timaru, an hour up the road for an eye appointment for hubby. I'm sitting waiting in our car along with numerous white or grey haired ladies all able to drive their husbands home after eye appointments. Help, Holp!
Thankful for: A seaside walk offered this view: I doubt whether any of these other older ladies would have walked anywhere!
Looks a bit precarious for a picnic at that table.

They don't have earthquakes in Timaru, Dianne - or frightening cliff collapses!

Lovely place to walk while you wait for hubby.

If I could get up there I know the view would be lovely!

A stunning view.

A pretty spot but I agree it looks like it could slip away in a bad rainstorm. Glad that's not a worry there.

I love the diagonal composition of your photo and the combination of cliff and water. Getting to the picnic table would be a challenge but I feel like you are up to it!

Looks like that table may slide down the hillside!

Beautiful indeed but no way I’d picnic there

Lovely composition...The lone picnic table tells a story.

Well all I can say is you have a much nicer eye appointment place than we have in Blackpool & I suppose not far from the sea but you have lovely cliffs & no flat promenade. I am one if those old ladies who wait in cars to drive husbands home. Harry I’d never in more that 15 mins so not much time to walk.!

Beautiful scene and colours.

Its just over an hour away from home, Pat and this cliff is above a coastal walkway - nice and flat and goes for miles. @happypat

@seattlite It was later occupied by an elderly couple having lunch or maybe just a cup of tea, Gloria.

@rensala
Quite a safe cliffside, Renee - but no fence or rails - just takes one person to fall and they would have to put up strong fences which would of course, spoil the view!

@grammyn I took this picture from further up the cliffside on a road, Katy - the road alongside this cliff goes down to a seaside parking spot!

@louannwarren You.can easily drive to the top of this cliff. A walkway down to the rough gravelly seaside!

Most of the old ladies just sat in their cars reading women's magazines. Me - its a great opportunity for a walk, Babs @onewing

@k9photo Its.very.stable territory - the composition of the cliff and land is solid, Kate!
