During Victorian Festival week in Oamaru, the ladies come out in all their finery. Most of them make their own outfits. This is an "Afternoon Tea" where the public can come to admire all the costumes, both for men and women, enjoy scones and jam, sandwiches and of course, tea.
Very clever women - love their hats ...do they make these as well? - my mother is a member of the Red Hat Ladies, and most of her group make their own hats !!
