and they will be - unfortunately they both died last year to my utter sadness. It has taken a year to even look at this photo. The wee one is a Griffon and named Milly Molly Mandy. Her hero is McDuff and he was 13 when he joined her in dog heaven. Milly was only four when she died!
Oh, Maggie, that's the saddest story. Thank-you for sharing, hard as it's been. It's a beautiful photo to have. McDuff looks very wise and I do wonder what secret Milly was sharing with him.
What a beautiful photo to remind you of your beloved pets. I have a photo in my wallet of our 2 that we lost about two years apart, they were both 13 years old, and had a wonderful life with us.
@tonygig@annbo@paulavdmerwe@nikkic@cheribug@onie Thanks for you sympathetic thoughts. The only thing about pets, as you say, Tony...... its too damned hard when the die especially when you love them so much.
I know exactly how your feel, my friend. The loss of our beloved cat was so sad for such a long time. This is a beautiful photo of your two dogs. Will you get another one or wait and see. I would get a pet tomorrow, but none are allowed here. Wonderful memories you have here.
@karenann Thanks for your thoughts! I appreciate all the comments. No no more dogs - I care far too much for them and it puts me under pressure all the time. I still look at all the dogs for sale on Trademe but only like I'm reading a book.
I know EXACTLY what that feels like. My sweetheart, Jack, who was the friendliest yellow lab on the planet died 7 yrs ago (13 yrs old, lung cancer). I had a tiny melt-down just a few days ago about him. Pets are Family With Fur. I love your picture very much.
