Oamaru is known as the steampunk capital of the world. This is: "tomorrow as it used to be" The "punk' in steampunk is a rebellion against the present day's preference for plastic and the disposable way of life. It is Victorian science fiction.
This hangs from an old crane beside the Steampunk HQ in historic Oamaru. I will post the old and peculiar steam engine that steams it's way into the sky in another date in this album.
