White on White by maggiemae

White on White

Been keen to try this and can see how appealing it can be! This is one flower off the white azalea that should not be blooming! Although, come to think of it, it is going to snow tonight so it will blend in nicely!

Best seen large! Honestly!
Lovely capture, Maggiemae! The snow will be a nice background!

I love this one Maggie, the choice to have it on white is great, shows the delicacy of the petals much better. At least you get the snow, doom and gloom all day here :(

Such a pretty flower and capture.

@kellc Actually, I thought the contrast was lovely but when I actually printed it - to go to a sister in law who has had a stroke, loves flowers, can't talk.... it didn't print out with that contrast!

Pretty flower

@maggiemae that happens often with me too - my monitor is not calibrated properly and I often get different prints to what my monitor shows. Hope your sister in law is on the road to recovery.

My white azalea is coming out too.

This must have been quite difficult to do Maggiemae !! I find a photo with a contrasting background quite easy but to get a white on white shot without losing the contrast is very difficult. If you had lightened the exposure you would have lost the image of the flower !!

Beautiful!

Beautifully photographed!

@happypat that's right, Pat, I tried numerous ones that were grainy. Upped the light and there was no problem!
