Bird with a bird brain

This is one of the many wax-eyes that flock around my honey pot every morning. They are also called 'ring-eyes' and 'silver-eyes" the reason which is obvious! This wee bird looks as if it not only hasn't had enough sleep but is warning the others not to fly over to this breakfast feast! I soak bread and stale cake or anything, really in honey water.

Since we are renting ... I can't tempt the birds, insects, or wildlife around us. So I guess that we're going to have to move. LOL Seriously I would love to capture them near our home, but we can't make the "mess!" Bummer.

Very nice capture, Maggiemae! I can see its eye very clearly and what a wonderful thing to do for the birds. I can imagine it doesn't last very long.
