We were there with a time share swop which reminded us of a 'Lubyanku Prison" Excerpts from my diary: "This was a Haki Garden in Zuhai, and we refreshed ourselves from Ian (friend)'s walking stick (a hollow place for straight scotch). Got Doctor for John who was very sick, who looked like a janitor with dirty white coat who thought John had a cold! Turned out to be the only English he knew! John complained about no towels and they sent up a girl - for sex? Menu for tea was 'Silkworm in its cocoon" and I ordered chop suey to be delivered - it looked like something the dog had thrown up!" Sorry China - this was a while ago! Still this is a lovely scene!
That me with the socks!
A beautiful pov and composition ... BUT, my gosh, the diary comment! Definitely don't want to get sick there or eat there. Stick to the adult beverage and don't drink the water. For laughs and entertainment, I'll take you along with me, Maggiemae. That would make the whole trip worthwhile. :)
@maggiemae - You are right....when my son in law was returning from LA....he landed for sometime China and in the flight there was no vegetarian meal and he remained hungry.....for hours....
Beautiful capture. Great story. My son has several friends from China. He says he will never move there because of the difficulty he has in speaking and understanding the language/s spoken there.
