This was out to welcome passengers on this railcar called the Silver Fern which arrived in Oamaru this morning from Dunedin. It was full of people who came to visit the Farmers Market and the Historic area of Oamaru. Most of the crowd had gone when I took this photo.
The Oamaru Railway Station was so pleased to be of use once again as the passenger service along this line had long since ceased. It is a trial run for the railcar but looks popular and hopefully will come for more runs!
