All Aboard

This is the small boat taking visitors to the Warship, HMS Otago which is moored offshore from the Oamaru Harbour, NZ. It was well organised with passengers having to wear sensible shoes and fitted with a helmet with a visor.

While this was going on, another show was happening on shore - a multicultural concert which had dancers and singers. This clip is a 40 sec video of the happy Tongan group: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HxM-MfHrD8c&feature=share&list=UUiQj1N0ZFUHOufUJ6_hTUeA Hope it works! They are very good, especially the enthusiastic guy on the left!
Great shot!

That looks fun! The water is an amazing color. Enjoyed the clip too. It reminds me of the hula dancers I've seen in Hawaii (on tv that is).

@onie Well thank you for saying, Leonie! They can be boring to those who don't know about them.

@maggiemae
Paul will be interested in the Burt Munro Challenge ones. I didn't look at the "personal" ones, just the general ones. Found them very interesting.

The one most surprising memory of South Island in particular on our first visit was the turquoise water, it was so beautiful. Things never change as it's still as vivid as ever, something to do with the ice crystals we were told?

@happypat In the glacial lakes, the colour is like this and is caused by ground glacial crystals but other lakes such as Lake Wakatipu in Queenstown is ordinary lake colour. The sea water here is often this colour particularly when the sky is blue. It was beautiful here this day, Pat!

@maggiemae We went down from Christshurch through the Rakia ? Gorge to Geraldine, Fairlie & on to Lake Teekapo...just beautiful country!

@happypat The Rakaia River is this colour and so is Lake Tekapo. It is beautiful - one of the most beautiful in the world, I think, Pat!
