Colour for tomorrow's March by maggiemae

Colour for tomorrow's March

A spot of bright colour comes from a folding pumpkin flower. It has opened but is now folding up to hopefully become a pumpkin. I don't know what these green ridges mean but they look neat today. Viewed in the large, you can see tiny hairs on these ridges!
beautiful

@tonydebont Thanks Tony - at the present time all the flowers have fallen off but none has become a pumpkin! We don't know what we are doing wrong! Plenty of bees.

@maggiemae Sorry, I can't help, I'm not much of a green thumb. They do love plenty of water.

@tonydebont I have since found there are male flowers and female flowers and so fertilisation is vital! If the male flowers all fall off the female is left to do so too!
