Night- the poem.... by maggiemae

Night- the poem....

Night by William Blake

"The sun descending in the west,
The evening star does shine;
The birds are silent in their nest,
And I must seek for mine.
The moon, like a flower
In heaven's high bower
With silent delight
Sits and smiles on the night

Its looks a bit grainy but I wanted the same look over both photos so made it such!
lovely poem

beautiful illustration of the poem Maggie! if you hyphenate between the words of the tag it comes up as one word and is thus in the same group as the other poetry club photos.

Beautiful photo -- suits Blake's poem very well. It's one of my favorites -- I know the last 4 lines by heart and they run through my head every time I see a moon smiling in delight at the night. Fav.
