This is really a small river in the back country of Canterbury where we crossed on a futile expedition to Akaroa trying to follow our GPS directions. We don't mind following her directions as it takes us places where we have never been! After about an hour we connected with the main road.
I love the leading line of this river! The colors are so warm and inviting! We call the voice on the GPS DuWanda (don't know why), and sometimes she takes us fun places. But sometimes we have to lock our car doors and skeedaddle out of there quickly!
Lovely autumn tones you're getting now. GPS signals are all over he too but I do remember my sister saying they were particularly temperamental in rural NZ - and that they found some stunning places!
Beautiful view. Following the GPS can be maddening. Mine told me recently there was no way home from Annapolis, about a half hour drive from my house. Then it relented and coughed up the directions. It's a wonder roadsides aren't littered with GPS devices hurled from car windows.
Gorgeous spot. I remember iphone maps trying to take me over a shingle logging track from Rotorua to Mt Maunganui which was estimated to take 13 hours or something. That was the first (and silliest) route it suggested.
