A favourite antique cup and saucer that has been passed through the generations. Not used of course, except for a photo like this. I liked the idea of light underneath a subject that @netkonnexion did but hers was more reflective.
You just reminded me of something, I own a large light box and would be able to achieve that affect from using it. Thankyou!! Love your cup and saucer.
@yonnie Thanks Yvonne - you would know how special these personal heritage items are. They now have a cabinet to rest in without getting dusty and worrying about old relatives who come to stay and want to 'dust" for you!
@sugarmuser There is absolutely nothing on the bottom of the cup or saucer to say who made it and what it is made of - like 'bone china" But from the weight of it, it has to be bone china!
This is great! Of course it would be me to ask, but how the heck did you do this? (And I would sneak a very careful cup of tea in this on some rainy afternoon.). Beautiful job and subject:)
@lubybee hi, Luretta! I put a semi- translucent white board (chopping board) on top of a light with a square light shade. Then the cup on top of that with the light turned on.
