One of Oamaru's stately homes lies on the outskirts of the coastal town and just along the road from our property. It used to be a wedding and function venue but was sold into private hands. The owners seem to look after the property beautifully, planting roadside flaxes, solid fencing, attractive gates and cut hedges.
