Nightlight by maggiemae

Nightlight

Sydney Harbour at Circular Quay. The ferries go in and out from here all day and half the night! I'm practicing night photos and everyone turns out differently. I'v found if you get lights that look like 'ticks" then you have moved the camera slightly, even just by clicking the button! The ones on 365 are superb especially in London!
if you get ticks from pressing the button then a remote is needed... this is really pretty though. I can't do nighttime at all... except the moon.

This is a beautiful night scene, Maggiemae. I like the reflections on the water and the large view of the harbor.

I love this, Maggiemae. I need to go out at night and practice. The only time I have been to the South Pacific, we left Sydney harbor at night--this reminds me of the view. (Unfortunately I didn't get any great shots ; (

This looks very impressive. I haven't tried night shots yet - taking things a step at a time!

Definitely an art to getting night shots right maggiemae...I know I should use a tripod but to be truthful they are a bit embarrassing don't you think...I have one but have never dared use it yet! These are really good, the Opera House looks great.

You made me miss this city so much.

Great night shot, Maggie. A remote shutter release would help with the movement.

@kwiksilver I don't have one of these but just use delayed shutter release by 2 secs, Gillian.
