The pale camelia by maggiemae

The pale camelia

I thought the camelia was beautiful but a bit bright so lightened it up a little. Hey, everyone knows that expression, "Lighten up"!
When out walking I see a lot of camelia bushes and I do think they look like a rubbish bush when they go brown but don't quite fall off! Not my choice for a flower but we inherited them in our garden and got given one.
Beautiful

This is beautiful Maggiemae , Camelias in their own right are beautiful bot the colour of this one on the black background makes the petals look so delicate & almost translucent -- super shot, processing & presentation --Fav

Beautiful shot of the Camelia - they are so lovely!! I used to have three large bushes in my garden and they have such lovely early flowers. Now the soil is wrong and they won't grow - very sad!! I love this shot - great processing!! Fav!!

A very delicate colour. My dad use to grow heaps of these and they were just beautiful in big bowls around the house.

This flower is so delicate and absolutely pretty. I hope it did not go brown too soon. Let’s not talking about Team NZ.

@pamknowler thanks Pam! My garden seems to grow everything and what's nice is that when the camellia falls, there is another to take its place!

You know maggiemae I love camellias & always think they are an amazing site just as the very early Spring is coming...the frost never seems to bother them. I haven't got one in the garden but if I had this would be lovely variety. The pale pink leaves are almost transparent.

@yonnie thank you Yvonne! I respect your opinion!

@happypat the camellias have such thick leaves that this why they are uncovered with frost! Now that doesn't apply to my cold feet at night!

The frame really sets it off nicely. Can see that you thought about the pale colors in the photo, and worked them into the frame, gradient or something.
