Portrait shadows by maggiemae

Portrait shadows

This is the other composition I experimented with and found that 'textures' in picmonkey can produce different and somewhat pleasing results!
This is also interesting but I like the creativity of the other one better!

@grammyn Its interesting because there weren't any shadows in the original, Katy! Creation is what life is all about!

@maggiemae Weird!

Is this like Picasso's blue period?

@skipt07 I'll have to go and look that up before I commit myself, Skip!

@maggiemae - Pablo Picasso went through a period, 1901-1904, when he painted essentially monochromatic paintings in shades of blue and blue-green.

Oh, I enjoyed that - some paintings I've never seen before - do like the blues. Hardly Picasso though -me!

My aren't you getting creative! Now on iPiccy.com (which is a lot like Picmonkey) you can take this shot and put stars in the background!
December 20th, 2015
@olivetreeann You can do that on Picmonkey too, Ann - the sun, moon stars - whatever you like! But I like to try and keep my photos original if possible (except for the fairies of course)
December 20th, 2015
@maggiemae Oh, that's good to know. It's been a while since I used either of those programs. I'm usually doing them in Smart Photo Editor, but they don't have the nicest star background.

I like this one too, but the other version is really artistic and moving in a way that moves beyond simply a photograph, if that makes sense.
December 20th, 2015
@taffy Yup, it does! Thanks!

I find this effect interesting but without the original hard to judge.

I like this, nice shot Maggie.
December 20th, 2015
Well, I found myself just looking at the lovely face portrait.
