Sabrina is 9 mths old, can walk, suck through a straw, say Mama, but she can't read yet! She thought her Grandmere was funny I think cause I played tunes on the computer and danced. The parents don't want her to be hooked into computers though and she wanted to tap my keyboard all the time! This is on the deck overlooking a remote Canadian Lake - very beautiful but full of mosquitoes and black flies that bite! I smothered my skin with insect repellant but they got through my hair and on my scalp in the night!
You must be having so much fun visiting your little Granddaughter. She is very cute, and this looks a beautiful spot. Yes the blackflies can be very nasty. Usually the first you know of their visit is a trail of blood down the back of your neck!
Having a wonderful time with the family I see! The locale sounds lovely. Avon Skin So Soft is the only bug repellant that really works for me. The bath oil that is. It has citronella in it.
@olivetreeann The repellant I used worked with 20% deet. I have another with 80%deet but didn't use it. These pesky insects got me before i had put some on!
What a beautiful and bright little girl Maggie. If there is anything around that bites it always finds me! Horrid when they get in your hair. How do the locals manage!
You were a very bad influence then maggie.....she is very advanced for her age & will be on a computer in no time! The black flies sound a nightmare & when you aren't well too. Otherwise it looks a beautiful,place.
