Blue Waters by maggiemae

Blue Waters

This may look idyllic but in temps of 44dgC (111degF) the sand and the tiles around the pool were red hot. My choice of bare feet was the wrong one!
This was a resort by the Colorado River and in spite of a large casino inside, it was a family resort and didn't get cleaned every day! Sand in little pools on the carpet everywhere!
You certainly make it look idyllic!

You are right. It looks idyllic. We are having a hot spell in Richmond, VA at 99F which is downright mild compared to your temperatures.

Beautiful light and color to the image and I think I see the shadow of a famous photographer in the sand!

You are very perceptive, Katy - probably me, trying not to get sand in my shoes!
July 13th, 2017
@allie912 Walking in these temps, is like walking in an oven!

@taffy Photos are neither hot or cold, - but take it from me, this is one hot one!

Looks so idyllic, though!

Beautiful shot with beautiful colors. It is hot here too, but I do not have sand in the carpet.

@daisymiller Carpet or shoes... it is not an advantage in good clean living, Daisy!

Looks great compared to what we have here currently

It looks beautiful but would be far too hot for me!
July 13th, 2017
It does look amazing, but that is seriously warm!

I feel for your feet but it does indeed look idyllic ...

It looks like a beautiful place, but far too hot to be outdoors!
July 13th, 2017

Beautiful

We've been having our own heat wave- but I'll take dry heat over our hot and humid fare any day. Good shot.
July 13th, 2017
Oh wow, a wonderful water spot, and it looks so quiet
July 14th, 2017
It did look idyllic until you mentioned 44 degree heat. Your feet must have been burning walking on the sand in that heat.

Your photo is very inviting and water looks so blue and cool...an oasis mirage out in the desert! :)
July 14th, 2017
@gardenfolk From above in a plane or ... a drone - it would be a mirage of colour!
July 14th, 2017
Wonderful shot
July 15th, 2017
just too hot. I can imagine how that felt on your feet. No doubt a lot of jumping from one foot to another!
