A Night Out Back by mamabec

A Night Out Back

We had rain today but not tonight. I decided to get a shot of some of the back of the house. This deck (1000 square feet) runs along two full sides of the house and is between 10 and 18 feet off the ground. It's a peaceful setting and private enough to use the hot tub nearly every night (with the lights off, of course). SOOC
How beautiful is this! And you don't need a "spa" to relax and get renewed. Must be lovely to sit out there at night in the hot tub (in the dark, of course!). And you didn't need to leave home to capture this beauty. :)

We've been pretty blessed these past 12 years. We designed and built this baby.

This is fabulous. My docs have all told me I need a hottub. Can't afford one but it would be nice. Even in the snow! Really nice shot!

I've been doing the Lynda.com teaching videos on the D5100 and so much of it applies to my D90 - so I'm actually learning something.

Highly recommend a Hot Springs. We've had this one 12 years and it was worth every dollar... it's just a 3 person size but perfect for us and the deck.

@mamabec They are great aren't they? I'm amazed. I'm looking forward to doing his other ones too...exposure, lenses, composition. I spent the day in Coos Bay taking portrait shots for my son's new business cards and interior shots for a portfolio for my daughter in law's interior design business. I felt WAY over my head and am totally exhausted,

Very nice deck and excellent shot. Your deck reminds me of my previous house which was modern with a large deck and backed onto a gorgeous wooded area. I miss that because I got to see great wildlife.

Last night we had two raccoons fighting with each other over space in a tree. We have bear, deer and my husband loves to feed the birds. It's all good but we live too far from our kids and granddaughters.

@mamabec Are they not in Oregon?

@meisen325
No :-( they live seven hours drive away in the Seattle area.

Love the trees, and this reminds me of the cabins we visit in the mountains sometimes here in NC :-)

Oh, I can imagine the peaceful days and nights. Wait. I just scrolled up and read that you have racoons, bear and deer. So perhaps they're just *interesting* days and nights. :)
