Today was the first day of retirement for my man. He went into his office today and packed everything up... then he went to the beach for a walk with Lucy dog, went for a motorcycle ride, then came home and had a glass of wine and a cigar out on the deck. Tough day - but the first day of many adventures. He is officially retired! Wow.

Yes, closer proximity would have been good, but I was SO glad Don came to the event - and he wasn't sure how he was going to be feeling ... So that explains the chair closest to the door. One another side, he really enjoyed the commentary of the photos and was excited that the photos he voted for won - especially the Manhatton taxi shot that took best of the year - taken by our new president.

Thank you. I've struggled with my photo mojo since leaving the Oregon Coast. I live in the Seattle area and find it more difficult to "meander" with my camera in the city.
@mamabec awwww was Oregon more country? I have only been to LA and Texas and I absolutely LOVE the variety of the USA every state so different, I would love to visit and road trip the states one day! So why the move to Seattle?
